Most of the voice acting for Herald has been recorded! Here’s our new teaser trailer showing you some of the characters with their newly added voices. 😀

In the coming weeks we’ll reveal the entire cast to you with voice samples from their lines.

We also did an interview with Live2D, the company behind the software which we use to animate our 2D portraits. For those interested in how we actually did our portraits, we also wrote a “making-of” series of posts a while back. 😉

Cheers!

After 2 years of intense production, the Herald finally has chickens!

Final in-game result:

The Herald’s development from concept art to 3d model. 🙂

Our fourth backer portrait is of a wealthy, 18th century explorer. All backer portraits will eventually end up as paintings somewhere in the game. 😉

Yes, that is our main character, Devan Rensburg, a 19th century steward, being portrayed as a Japanese mecha.

No, we haven’t got a clue why you’d want that.

But who cares, it’s freakin’ awesome!

This was done for Rangemu, a magazine about Dutch games being handed out at the Tokyo Game Show.

For reference:

This week we had our first recording sessions for Herald! Seeing our characters brought to life by a talented cast was a very special moment for us to experience. We can’t wait to share this with you in-game. <3
