Description

We're an indie game company with a focus on making story-driven games and have a passion for historical events and cultural diversity.

History

Early History

Founded in 2013 by Roy van der Schilden, Bart Heijltjes, Aïda de Ridder and Remko Haagsma; Wispfire was set up as a small indie developer aimed at making story-driven games with a passion for historical events and cultural diversity. Our philosophy at Wispfire is that games enable you to explore a situation from a different vantage point, to reassess the familiar with new eyes, or to discover patterns of thought that you may not have noticed before. By providing agency, games create empathy and increase understanding.

Present Day

Wispfire is situated in the Hooghiemstra building in Utrecht, a local creative business hub. We're currently working on a new unnanounced narrative experience for PC and Console.
